The City of Aspen is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst in the Engineering department. This non-exempt role performs GIS data management, mapping, and support for city operations, including UAS program duties once certified, and training staff in GIS tools.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–3 years of GIS experience, plus strong knowledge of Esri software, data quality, and customer service. Regular full-time hours with occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Planning, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional GIS experience or closely related field.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise/Online and data management practices.

Responsabilités

• GIS Data Management: create, maintain and update datasets and geodatabases.
• Mapping & Spatial Analysis: produce maps, dashboards, and analyses for city operations.
• GIS Applications & Services: configure and maintain web maps and GIS services.
• Technical Support & Training: assist staff, troubleshoot issues, and provide training.
