Job summary
City of Aspen is seeking a GIS Analyst to support the Engineering Department with enterprise GIS data management, mapping, and spatial analysis. You will maintain geodatabases, produce maps and dashboards, and assist with GIS applications and services across City programs.
The role also covers user training, technical support, and collaboration with partners, with additional duties in the UAS program as needed. A strong GIS background and FAA or drivers license requirements apply.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Planning, Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of professional GIS experience or closely related field.
- Experience with spatial databases, GIS applications, and geospatial data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Maintain GIS datasets and geodatabases.
- Create maps, dashboards, and reports.
- Configure GIS web maps, applications, and services.
- Provide GIS support and training to staff.
- Collaborate with City departments and partners.
- Support drone/UAS data collection and GIS integration.
