Job summary

South Tahoe Public Utility District is seeking a GIS Analyst I/II to develop, implement, and maintain the district-wide ESRI-based GIS. You will manage geodatabases, support web maps, dashboards, field apps, and coordinate with IT and field crews on data collection, workflows, and reporting for water and wastewater systems.

You will also train staff, handle licensing and infrastructure needs, and contribute to QA/QC and process improvements using GIS solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, geography, computer science, planning, mapping, surveying, or related field.
• 4 years GIS-related experience for Analyst I; 6 years for Analyst II.
• Experience administering ESRI-based enterprise software and products including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, Model Builder, Network Analyst and Spatial Analyst.
• Experience with ESRI Geometric Network and/or Utility Network.
• Experience building and deploying ESRI-based field applications (Field Maps, Collector).
• Experience using GPS units and supporting software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains an enterprise GIS system and geodatabases for ongoing GIS development.
• Maintains asset information for water, sewer, and recycled water systems in GIS.
• Creates and maintains map products, standards, and mapping protocols; supports staff with GIS data.
• Manages District web maps, dashboards, and field mapping apps.
• Shares GIS data with CMMS, modeling, drafting, AI, and financial/customer service software.
• Supports SQL databases and writes basic SQL statements and views.
• Trains staff on GIS and GPS usage; coordinates with departments regularly.
