Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a GIS Analyst I in Phoenix, AZ to assist in developing and maintaining the Enterprise GIS platform supporting business content delivery. You will transpose data from maps, CAD drawings, and land base maps into electronic formats and design GIS database models for system users.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of GIS experience, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment and remote options for many states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography or related field and one year of GIS experience.
• Experience using GIS software and data management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise GIS platform to support management and delivery of business content.
• Transpose data from maps, CAD drawings, and land base maps into electronic files.
• Develop, plan and implement GIS applications software for system users and operators.
• Design and develop GIS database models and templates.
• Write, edit, install and verify programs for accessing, maintaining, linking and populating databases.
• Prepare maps and exhibits for business users.
• Assist with development of GIS applications to integrate business content into other internal GIS projects.
• Participate in development, maintenance and implementation of policies to ensure GIS information accuracy.
• Participate in procurement and storage of geospatial data.
• Perform other duties as requested
