Job summary

City Of Keller is seeking a Full-Time GIS Technician to join the Town Hall team in Keller, TX. You will maintain GIS asset data, develop mapping tools, and support Public Works and other departments with spatial analyses and dashboards.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and 1–3 years of related experience; ESRI ArcGIS Pro/Online, StoryMaps, and data management experience are highly preferred.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and 1–3 years directly related work experience is required.
Strong preference for knowledge/experience using ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, StoryMaps, Experiences, etc.) and asset management principles.
Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of City infrastructure (water, sewer, streets, drainage).
Ability to read and interpret maps, plans, blueprints, and related documents.

Responsibilities

Maintain GIS asset data and maps in coordination with the City's GIS department.
Create and maintain mapping tools, StoryMaps, Experiences, dashboards, and project maps for internal and external customers.
Support civil engineering staff with meetings, reports, map preparation, and open-records requests.
Manage and organize as-builts, plan reviews, and submittals; support data outputs for staff and management.
