Job summary

The City of Elkhart is seeking a GIS Technician to maintain and manage the City’s Geographic Information System and infrastructure records. The role supports the GIS Manager by collecting, updating, and analyzing GIS data, conducting field investigations, and ensuring asset accuracy for city departments.

Responsibilities include creating maps and reports with ESRI GIS and MS Office, assisting the public, and training City staff in GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in GIS, geography, database design, or a related field
• Two years of technical ESRI GIS experience
