Job summary

The City of Hollywood, FL is seeking a GIS Technician to support the GIS, Facility Management, and utilities data systems using ESRI, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD. You will manage GIS layers, perform data analysis, and assist in the development of utility design records under supervision.

Responsibilities include creating interfaces for engineering analyses, maintaining geodatabases, coordinating with department staff, and preparing reports and drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in geography/cartography/engineering/CS or related field
• Minimum 3 years GIS experience in water/wastewater/stormwater
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Master’s degree preferred with 5+ years experience (substitutions allowed)

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with GIS interfaces for analysis and planning.
• Query GIS databases to create reports on water facilities.
• Maintain and update GIS layers and geodatabases.
• Coordinate with departments on standard designs and procedures.
