Our team is growing and we need another GIS Analyst to help meet the increasing demand for our Cemetery Information Management System (CIMS), a product of Ramaker. CIMS manages cemetery maps and records in one centralized system, facilitating easier management for cemetery staff. The system provides real-time insights into sales and availability, displayed on an accurate digital map of the cemetery. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for executing mapping projects, converting GIS and CAD data into various formats, providing technical support, and data development and conversion. You will work both independently and collaboratively on GIS software solutions, with opportunities to assist other departments within Ramaker with GIS services, broadening your experience in GIS applications within architecture and engineering industries.

While much of this work can be performed remotely, occasional visits to project sites or events may be required. Preference is given to candidates located within a reasonable driving distance of our headquarters in Sauk City, WI.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Possession of a degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field with demonstrated GIS capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with ESRI GIS technology, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience with other GIS software such as QGIS, PostGIS, and FME
  • Experience migrating data between formats, including data mapping, transformation, SQL writing, and validation techniques
  • Experience working with various coordinate systems, map projections, and datums
  • Strong attention to quality assurance and control
  • Ability to independently solve problems, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize work with limited supervision
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams

Preferred but not required skills include:

  • Software development or programming related to data migration processes
  • Experience with Autodesk products like AutoCAD or Civil 3D
  • Experience using Google Earth and KMZ files
  • Experience with drone imagery
  • Experience applying AI to data migration processes
