Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a GIS Analyst to support highly complex GIS applications across web, client/server, and mobile platforms. You will work with development teams and project managers to improve GIS solutions, streamline spatial data needs, and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.

The role focuses on environmental and natural-resource applications and may include additional development work as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 years of GIS, cartography, or a related field.
• 4 years creating GIS reports, complex spatial analyses, and client‑spec work.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal.
• 4 years developing GIS that create, maintain, or leverage basemap data.
• 4 years advanced SQL: scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS.
• 2 years with C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML/HTML/JS/TS, Power Apps.
• Knowledge of ADA compliance and accessible design.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple highly complex GIS applications across platforms.
• Collaborate with development staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Work with Project Managers to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Develop solutions and streamline spatial data needs via web/client/server/mobile apps.

• Maintain current IT knowledge through continuous learning.
• Support applications across PC-based, web, and mobile platforms.
• Support legacy GIS development and maintenance where applicable.

GIS Analyst – ArcGIS, SQL & GIS Application Development

Position Overview

Support highly complex GIS applications while working across spatial data, GIS application development, database technologies, testing, and web/mobile applications. This role provides opportunities to work closely with development teams and Project Managers to improve GIS solutions, streamline spatial data needs, and support application quality, milestones, and deadlines.

The role will primarily support applications associated with environmental and natural-resource functions, with additional application development support assigned as needed.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Support multiple highly complex GIS applications.
• Collaborate with development staff by providing advice and guidance as needed.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project quality, milestones, and deadlines are met.
• Develop solutions and streamline spatial data needs through the maintenance and modification of existing web, client/server, or mobile applications.
• Support additional application development needs as assigned.
• Adhere to applicable technology and client standards.
• Develop or approve plans for testing and implementation of web-based, client/server, mobile, or data system applications.
• Evaluate the impact of new technology and recommend solutions to persistent problems.
• Serve as a customer service liaison to the client and external consultants.
• Maintain current knowledge of changing IT technologies through continuous learning.
• Support applications across PC-based, web-based, and mobile platforms.
• Support legacy application development and maintenance where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience developing user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands, performing complex spatial analyses, and producing reports according to customer specifications.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal.
• Builder skills.
• Dashboard skills.
• 4 years of experience assisting in the development of GIS that create, maintain, or leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Experience creating basemaps and tile caches.
• Experience with imagery analysis.
• 4 years of advanced SQL skills, including writing database scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS packages.
• Experience maintaining spatial databases, documenting procedures, validating data, and updating and maintaining metadata for new and existing items.
• 4 years of advanced skills in unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and automated testing to ensure product quality meets client expectations.
• 2 years of experience with C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Transact SQL (T-SQL), TypeScript, and Power Apps.
• Knowledge of ADA Compliance with 1+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree required. Foreign degrees will be accepted if evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with MS ADO, GIT, MS Office, and Helix.
• 1+ years of experience with Angular.
