Job summary

InstantServe LLC is seeking a GIS Analyst to support multiple complex applications and collaborate with development and project managers to ensure quality and milestones. The role involves enhancing spatial data workflows across web, client/server, and mobile platforms.

The candidate will oversee testing plans, evaluate new technologies, and maintain geospatial basemap information, while working in a hybrid environment requiring on-site presence two days per week.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in GIS, cartography, or a related field.
• 4 years experience building UI elements and performing spatial analyses and reporting.
• ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal experience.
• 4 years developing GIS that create or leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Imagery analysis.
• 4 years of advanced SQL with scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS; maintaining spatial databases and metadata.
• 4 years of advanced testing (unit/system/regression/automation) to ensure product quality.
• Knowledge of ADA Compliance (1+ years).
• Bachelor's degree required; foreign degrees accepted if equivalent.

Duration: 12-month contract (with possible extension)

Interview Process: In-person. 1-2 rounds. Candidates MUST be able to come on-site for the first and potential 2nd interview

Hybrid work schedule (non-negotiable): Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start. Wednesdays and Thursdays are required on-site days and cannot be altered.

Job Description:

The candidate will serve as a GIS Analyst supporting multiple highly complex applications primarily for the client They will collaborate with the development providing advice and guidance, as needed, to development staff while working closely with Project Managers to ensure project quality, milestones, and deadlines are met. They will develop solutions and streamline spatial data needs through the maintenance and modification of existing web, client server, or mobile applications. Additional application development support to address needs of the client Application Development section may be assigned as needed.

They must adhere to the standards set forth by the client, and the Client. Develop or approve plans for testing and implementation of web-based, client/server, mobile or data system applications. Evaluate the impact of new technology, recommend solutions to persistent problems, and serve as Customer Service liaison to the client and external consultants. Keep current with changing IT technologies through continuous learning. Support applications that exist on a wide variety of platforms including, but not limited to, PC-based, Web-based, and Mobile. Legacy application development and maintenance may require knowledge of other platforms.

Required Skills:

• 4 years of experience in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience developing user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands in addition to performing complex spatial analyses and producing reports according to customer specifications.
• ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal Experience
• 4 years of experience assisting in the development of GIS that create, maintain, or leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Imagery analysis
• 4 years of Advanced skills in SQL with writing database scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS packages as well as maintain spatial databases and document procedures, validate data, update and mantain metadata for new and existing items
• 4 years of Advanced skills in unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and automated testing to ensure product quality meet client expectation
• Knowledge of ADA Compliance (1+ years of experience)
• Bachelor's degree required. Foreign degrees will be accepted if evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

• Skills in MS ADO, GIT, MS Office, Helix (1+ years of experience)
