This full-time role requires coaching credentials, strong leadership, and the ability to work evenings and weekends during the season.

You will plan practices, implement game strategies, supervise athletes on trips, and promote sportsmanship while complying with district policies.

Qualifications

• Prior wrestling coaching experience.
• Florida teaching certificate or valid DOE athletic coaching certificate.
• FHSAA certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Combination of relevant education, experience, and certifications considered.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions.
• Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
• Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and sports rules to student-athletes.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and school-sponsored trips.
• Promote discipline, responsibility, and good sportsmanship among players.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations.
• Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms.
• Assist with scheduling and facility use.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities.
• Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
