Job summary

Forest Grove High School in Forest Grove, Oregon seeks an Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach to support the varsity program. You will assist with practice planning, game preparation, and supervision of student-athletes, while aligning with district policy and athletic code.

Ideal candidates have coaching experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with staff, parents, and students. CPR/First Aid certification and OSAA updates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching techniques and student supervision.
• Ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff in writing and speaking.
• Ability to perform coaching responsibilities per district procedures.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Concussion management knowledge and OSAA requirements updates.
• Maintain confidentiality of information relating to students, staff, or district patrons.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
• Successful completion of background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated duties assigned by the head coach.
• Be knowledgeable of and implement the planned system and style of play as established by the head coach.
• Enforce athletic regulations and propose program improvements through the head coach to the athletic director and principal.
• Attend meetings and professional developments organized by the head coach, athletic director, or principal.
• Demonstrate proper active supervision during all activities including games and practices.
• Maintain knowledge of skill development, training techniques, and game strategy.
• Be responsible for care and distribution of district equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with athletes in a respectful manner.
