Job summary

Hood River Valley High School seeks a Boys Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the head coach in leading the program. You may coach JV or freshman teams and help with practice plans, competition preparation, and student development.

The role emphasizes equity, safety, and adherence to OSAA rules, with responsibilities across scheduling, rosters, and event coordination. Prior coaching experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school coaching experience preferred.
• Must understand safety protocols and district policies.
• Be able to coordinate practice plans and communicate effectively with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organizing practice sessions during the season.
• Support equity and access to athletics for all interested students.
• Assist in maintaining facilities, equipment, and uniforms for wrestling.
• Coordinate and schedule JV/Novice activities and events.
• Communicate with athletes, parents, officials, and staff.
• Assist in monitoring expenditures and proper use of equipment.
