Job summary

The Greater Nebraska Schools Hiring Consortium is seeking a Girls Volleyball Coach for the 2026-2027 season. This differential position requires appropriate coaching certification or an Illinois Professional Educator License. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the sport and the ability to teach and develop the skills of student-athletes.

This role also includes building relationships and serving as a positive role model for students, along with effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Appropriate coaching certification as regulated by the IESA – OR – Illinois Professional Educator License
• Strong knowledge of the sport and an ability to teach and develop the skills of our student‑athletes
• Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
• Effective communication skills with students and adults
• Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
• Willing to travel with the team to different locations for practices/games, as needed

Compensation

• This is a Differential position. The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website. Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience. Employment as a coach is on an at‑will basis.
