Job summary

The Madison Public Schools in Connecticut seeks a Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach at Daniel Hand High School to lead, mentor and develop a highly competitive program that supports character, pride of achievement, and healthy social behavior.

You will teach student-athletes lacrosse fundamentals, game strategy and physical training, while fostering self-discipline and confidence and aligning athletics with the district's academic mission to support student success.

Qualifications

• Connecticut coaching certification (5-year renewable) or temporary certification.
• Previous coaching experience in the assigned athletic.
• Knowledge/background in the assigned athletic.
• Strong understanding of the academic mission and role of athletics in Madison Public Schools.
• High school graduate, 18+, with current first aid and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse program with skill, strategy, and conditioning emphasis.
• Instruct student-athletes in fundamental lacrosse techniques and team concepts.
• Promote character development, self-discipline, and pride in achievement.

Girls' Varsity Lacrosse HeadCoachneeded to provide instruction that will lead to the formulation of character including moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence. TheGirls' Varsity Lacrosse Head Coachwill instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid State of Connecticut Five-Year Renewable Coaching certification or temporary certification
• Previous coaching experience in assigned athletic
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned athletic
• Possesses a strong understanding of the academic mission of the Madison Public Schools and the role athletics pays to support that mission
• High school graduate, 18 years of age with current first aid and CPR certifications
