Oxford Area High School seeks a dedicated Head Coach for Girls Track and Field to lead student-athletes toward athletic and academic success. The role focuses on developing training programs, organizing practices, and preparing teams for competitions while fostering a culture of sportsmanship and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will bring track and field expertise, strong communication, and a commitment to mentoring young athletes.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience in track and field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of track & field events, techniques, and training methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve goals.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to season.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to transport athletes to events as needed.
• Background check will be required upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes to enhance performance.
• Organize and conduct daily practices focused on skill development and conditioning.
• Prepare the team for competitions, including scheduling meets and coordinating transportation.
• Monitor and evaluate athlete performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship and inclusivity.
• Collaborate with coaching staff and school administration for program success.
• Communicate with athletes, parents, and staff regarding events and progress.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and national regulations on eligibility and safety.
• Organize and oversee fundraising activities to support the program.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with techniques.
