Job summary

Minnetonka Public School District is seeking a 2026-27 Girls Basketball Assistant Coach for Minnetonka High School. The role supports the athletics program by planning, supervising, ensuring safe practices, and coordinating team travel for the Girls Basketball program during the 11/16/26–3/12/27 season.

Responsibilities include enforcing policies, assisting with hiring and development of assistant coaches, managing equipment and records, coordinating schedules with the Student Activities Office,

Qualifications

• Coaching knowledge of basketball or similar sport.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to receive work direction.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to student participation.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, accompany and supervise the team to and from all events including practices and competitions.
• Responsible for organization and administration of coaching an athletic team.
• Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development and evaluation of assistant coaches.
• Plan and implement conditioning and weight programs with the Pagel Center Staff.
• Coordinate practice and game schedules with the Student Activities Office, Activities Coordinator or other coaches.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior and manage penalties.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
