Job summary

iLearn Schools is seeking a High School Assistant Coach for Girls Soccer to support the Head Coach in practices, games, and tournaments for grades 9–12. The role emphasizes discipline, sportsmanship, and academic focus, with emphasis on adherence to NJSIAA and school policies.

The position requires state coaching certifications, CPR/First Aid, and NFHS coursework. Flexible hours with evenings and weekends for practices and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification required; online CPR not accepted; hands-on skills assessment.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching required before first employment as a coach.
• NFHS Concussion in Sports and NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses required.
• BeNice Program training completed.
• NJ Teaching Certification or NJ Instructional Substitute Credential required in addition to preceding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Daily Execution: Assist the Head Coach with daily practices, games, and tournaments.
• Regulations & Compliance: Comply with federal laws, NJ DOE guidelines, NJSIAA rules and iLearn policies.
• Medical Clearance: Ensure athletes are cleared by school nurse/AT for participation.
• Asset Accountability: Distribute, track, and collect uniforms.
• Fundraising Support: Assist with program fundraising activities.
• Safety & Emergency Readiness: Follow emergency protocols and drills.
• Travel Supervision: Travel with team and supervise student-athletes.
• Off-Season & Pipeline: Assist with off-season conditioning and youth clinics.
• Meeting Attendance: Attend league/conference meetings when designated.
