Qualifications

• CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification required.
• DOE-approved certification course required (hands-on skills assessment).
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching must be completed prior to first employment.
• NFHS Concussion in Sports Course completed.
• NFHS Heat Illness Prevention Course completed.
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course completed.
• NFHS Implicit Bias Course completed.
• BeNice Program participation required.
• DOE credentials required in addition to NFHS/DOE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with daily practices, games, and tournaments.
• Comply with federal laws, NJ DOE guidelines, NJSIAA regulations, and iLearn policies.
• Ensure athletes are cleared by school nurse or Athletic Trainer before participation.
• Distribute, track, and collect uniforms; ensure they are returned in good condition.
• Support fundraising activities as directed by the Head Coach.
• Follow school emergency protocols and maintain a safe environment for athletes.
• Travel with the team to away games and supervise students.
• Assist with off-season conditioning and youth clinic outreach.
