Job summary

Wayne Township Public Schools is seeking an extracurricular athletics coach at Wayne Valley High School to lead, supervise and organize a designated sport. The role supports the District Athletic Program, the Conference and NJISAA, ensuring safety and proper conduct.

The coach will maintain equipment, manage records, participate in leagues and clinics, and communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• State Teaching Certificate or County Substitute Certificate (60 college units required).
• Prior experience coaching the sport.
• Knowledge of sport rules and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise athletic activities according to district guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of conference and state rules.
• Oversee equipment and inventory.
• Ensure safety and proper facility maintenance.
• Communicate rules and award criteria to athletes.
