Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools seeks a Head Girls’ Basketball Coach to lead the program, plan practices, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork within the school’s athletic program.

The role requires ensuring coaches are certified, coordinating clearances through the Athletic Director, and complying with AHSAA guidelines. A background check and fingerprinting are required, with pro-rated salary based on contract days remaining.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in sports as participant/coach preferred.
• Completion of AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program requirements.
• Willingness to obtain CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Basketball program.
• Instruct athletes in fundamentals, develop character, model expected behavior.
• Ensure all coaches in the basketball program are certified and cleared.
• Ensure student-athletes cleared through the Athletic Director.
• Attend the AHSAA rules clinic for the sport.
• Board Approved Stipend $8,000.
