Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a high school football coach to lead a competitive program, align with district goals, and mentor student-athletes. You will develop structured practices, teach game tactics, monitor academic progress, ensure safety and compliance with AHSAA rules, and collaborate with staff and parents.

Experience coaching, strong leadership, and the ability to foster a positive, disciplined team environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent teaching credential.
• Footbal coaching experience at high school level or higher preferred.
• Familiarity with AHSAA rules, policies, and requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive, competitive football program for high school student-athletes.
• Provide instruction, mentorship, and coaching to enhance individual skills and team performance.
• Promote sportsmanship, accountability, and team unity among players.
• Organize and conduct structured practice sessions focused on skill development, fitness, and game strategy.
• Supervise and collaborate with assistant coaches to ensure consistent coaching methods.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and overall well-being.
• Communicate with parents, school administration, and stakeholders regarding program updates.
