Description

PAY: $17.50

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Gift stockers will be responsible for moving merchandise from warehouse and around floor under direction of visual merchandising and warehouse Team Leaders to create and maintain a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity. Responsible for maintaining a friendly and professional environment by acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches. Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable. Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks. Perform any other duties as directed by management.

EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED: General warehouse duties such as, but not limited to: loading and unloading of trucks, make sure all merchandise is labeled with a destination using a scan gun properly, move merchandise to the floor using carts; move merchandise from on bay to another as instructed; making sure merchandise that is being displayed looks the best possible way it can; change or rotate displays and signage to reflect changes in inventory or promotion; use proper procedures when working with knifes, flat carts, and lifting merchandise; assisting other departments in the warehouse as needed; check daily closing assignments and responsibilities; use excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customers. Perform any other duties as directed by management.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; ability to work in a face paced environment; knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, typing hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.

Work Environment: Occasionally works in hot and/or cold temperatures and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
