Job summary

Mathis Home in Ontario, CA is seeking a dedicated janitor for a full-time, on-site role. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to follow safety guidelines to keep the facility clean for employees and visitors.

You will clean floors and restrooms, dispose of trash, and support maintenance across main facilities and offices. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work well with teammates, and maintain a positive attitude while following policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; service and stock restrooms; clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.

Description

PAY: $16.90 to $23.37

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, the janitorialcrew is responsible for providing a clean and sanitary surrounding for the employees and public while abiding by all safety guidelines; promotes sanitary conditions that prevent the spread of infection and odor. Must be able to work efficiently, self- motivated, and take direction well.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Maintain main facility, as well as corporate offices, and locations not on campus in a sanitary and infection free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment; responsible for the disposal of trash; F ollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures ; Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them ; Service, clean, and supply restrooms; Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees . Perform other related work as required.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively lift heavy equipment of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working others. Knowledge of employment, safety, and warehouse policies.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs rarely, 20 lbs occasionally, and 10 lbs frequently.

Work Environment: Works in hot and/or cold temperatures and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
