Job summary

Washington State University seeks a Gift Processing Specialist in Pullman, WA to handle end-to-end gift processing for the WSU Foundation’s Gift Accounting. The role requires ensuring accurate receipt, entry, posting, and documentation of donations while adhering to policies and timelines.

The successful candidate will apply Foundation procedures, IRS and CASE standards, and collaborate with Advancement staff, donors, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Three years of fiscal record keeping experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience reviewing, processing, reconciling, or maintaining financial records.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; resolve routine problems.
• Ability to work the schedule of an essential staff member, including key weeks.

Responsibilities

• Process gift transactions start-to-finish, from receipt to receipt issuance, on time.
• Maintain accurate donor records and documentation.
• Review, research, and resolve transaction discrepancies and advise staff accordingly.
• Assist in updating protocols and testing CRM features; explore workflow improvements.
• Handle batch processing, cash handling, and related controls; provide backup coverage.
