Job summary

University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation (UMAF) seeks an Assistant Director, Gift Planning Operations to oversee daily gift planning operations, data, and stewardship programs. You’ll support gift planning officers with prospect management, produce dashboards, and maintain confidential donor records in a hybrid US-wide role.

Qualifications include 3–5 years in operations, a relevant bachelor’s degree, CRM experience (Salesforce preferred), and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of administrative or operations experience in legal, financial, or development settings.
• Experience using a CRM database to manage records and support reporting.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; highly organized and discreet.

Responsibilities

• Manage gift planning operations, documentation, and records per standards and policies.
• Produce reports, dashboards, presentations, and donor communications.
• Maintain donor, estate, and gift records with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Support prospect management, data integrity, and CRM usage with stakeholders.
• Run stewardship programs, donor engagement activities, and events logistics.
