Job summary

Seattle Foundation seeks a proactive Gift Planning Advisor to join the Philanthropic Services team. Reporting to the Director of Gift Planning, this role serves as a trusted charitable planning resource for donors and their advisors, guiding donors through establishing funds and documented gifts.

The Advisor will grow charitable assets, manage a portfolio of professional advisors, and convert philanthropic intent into lasting partnerships that expand the Foundation’s impact in the greater

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, fundraising, philanthropic advising, sales, financial services, or other relationship-focused roles.
  • Proven success achieving revenue, fundraising, and referral-generation goals with an ability to manage a pipeline.
  • Direct experience with UHNW/HNW clients or through professional advisors.
  • Strong understanding of planned giving vehicles and charitable planning strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with donors and advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Grow donor base and charitable assets through Donor Advised Funds, endowments, trusts, and estate gifts.
  • Own inquiries end to end, delivering a high-trust donor-advisor experience.
  • Advise donors and advisors on Seattle Foundation's value propositions, fees, and giving solutions.
  • Move prospects through full pipeline to secure new philanthropic commitments.
  • Manage assigned bequest donor portfolio and steward lasting relationships.
  • Build strategic partnerships with professional advisors to increase referrals and gifts.
  • Lead events and campaigns that educate donors and drive engagement.
  • Collaborate across teams and maintain accurate donor records in CRM.
