Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Sterile Processing role in Hoffman Estates to support GI procedures in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position runs 40 hours per week with a 6:30am–3pm schedule and rotating Saturdays.

Travel is required to support GI services across our facility network in the Chicago area. The role involves preparing and sterilizing GI instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring all supplies are available for procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BCLS Certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Endoscopic Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs work related to the care and treatment of patients in the GI room.
• Assures availability of instrumentation and supplies required for the surgical procedure prior to the case.
• Participates in GI room setup, turnover, cleaning, and restocking.
• Maintains sterile technique in opening of surgical supplies and instrumentation.
• Cleans, prepares and decontaminates GI scopes and equipment.
• Provides for aseptic technique throughout surgical procedure in a safe, efficient manner.
• Assists with turnover and handling of instruments and supplies.
• Maintains documentation of biological indicators for sterile processing equipment.
