Job summary

Endoscopy Institute of Hawaii in Honolulu is seeking a Full-time GI Technician to join our growing team. You will clean and maintain video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites, assist physicians and nurses during procedures, and adhere to CDC infection prevention guidelines.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with some Saturdays, no on-call or night shifts. The starting pay range is $20–$25 per hour, with added compensation for floating to other centers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a GI Tech, Endo Tech, Medical Assistant, or Sterile Processing Tech is a plus.
• Patient care experience required in acute or critical care setting. Training on GI/Endoscopy procedures will be provided.
• Knowledge of GI/Endo procedures or sterile processing techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with clinical or surgical settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by AHA or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites under the Center Manager's guidance.
• Follow CDC guidelines for infection prevention and control.
• Assist physicians and staff nurses during procedures.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and support the center's mission.
• Float to other centers with added compensation.
