Job summary

The Endoscopy Center in Hilo, HI is seeking a full-time GI Technician to join our expanding team. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining endoscopes, assisting during procedures, and ensuring infection control per CDC guidelines. Monday–Friday, some Saturdays; no on-call or nights.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in any patient care role.
• Experience or knowledge of GI/Endoscopy procedures or sterile processing techniques is a plus.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• As a GI Technician, you will clean and maintain video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites under the Center Manager's guidance.
• Follow CDC guidelines for infection prevention and control.
• Assist physicians and staff nurses during procedures, perform daily equipment maintenance, and support the center's mission.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

As a GI Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites under the Center Manager's guidance. You must follow CDC guidelines for infection prevention and control. Additionally, you will assist physicians and staff nurses during procedures, perform daily equipment maintenance, and support the center's mission.

• Monday-Friday work schedule. Some Saturday work hours depending on center needs
• NO call required, NO Nights
• Ability to float to other centers with added compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in any patient care role needed.
• Experience or knowledge of GI/Endoscopy procedures or sterile processing techniques is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain)

If you don't have experience as a GI Tech, Endoscopy Tech, or Sterile Processing Tech, we are willing to train you and help you develop your skills as a GI Technician.
