Job summary

The Endoscopy Center in Hilo, HI, is seeking a full-time GI Technician to join our growing team. You will help clean and maintain video endoscopes and accessories, support procedures, and follow infection control guidelines.

Daily responsibilities include assisting physicians, maintaining equipment, and upholding our patient‑focused care standards. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no night shifts and potential Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in patient care.
• Experience or knowledge of GI/Endoscopy procedures or sterile processing is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites under guidance.
• Follow CDC infection prevention and control guidelines.
• Assist physicians and staff nurses during procedures.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance.
• Support the center's mission.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

As a GI Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites under the Center Manager's guidance. You must follow CDC guidelines for infection prevention and control. Additionally, you will assist physicians and staff nurses during procedures, perform daily equipment maintenance, and support the center's mission.

The starting pay range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Monday-Friday work schedule. Some Saturday work hours depending on center needs
• NO call required, NO Nights
• Ability to float to other centers with added compensation

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in any patient care role needed.
• Experience or knowledge of GI/Endoscopy procedures or sterile processing techniques is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain)

If you don't have experience as a GI Tech, Endoscopy Tech, or Sterile Processing Tech, we are willing to train you and help you develop your skills as a GI Technician.
