Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
• Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of patients.
• Develop an individualized age-specific culturally sensitive plan of care based on the nursing process.
• Advocate for patients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to meet care goals.
• Educate patients and families, and participate in handoffs with complete and accurate information.
• Mentor and precept new team members and contribute to professional growth.
