Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC Health) seeks an experienced registered nurse to support the GI Surgery clinic. You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and promote patient-centered care for pre-op and post-op GI procedures.

You will lead assigned staff, ensure privacy and professional standards, and participate in ongoing professional development and governance within a busy surgical clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN licensure in SC or compact state required.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other team members in patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Educate patients and families and evaluate outcomes.
