Job summary

The GI Surgery clinic at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to support pre-op and post-op patients across bariatric, GI, and oncology cases. You will work with CMAs, RNs, Surgeons, and Physician Assistants in a dynamic team supporting care from admission through discharge.

Requirements include SC RN licensure (or compact state), BLS certification, and a BSN preferred. The role is full-time, on-site with 40 hours weekly, and offers hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in SC or a compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN degree preferred or enrolled in BSN program for MUSC employees.

Responsibilities

• Stand or sit for extended periods during shifts.
• Take vitals, administer injections, conduct exams with accuracy.
• Lift/move patients or equipment as needed.
• Read charts and monitor patient status with accuracy.
• Communicate clearly with patients and team; ensure infection control.
