Job summary

Gastroenterology Specialties, PC in Lincoln, NE is seeking a compassionate Specialty Clinic Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver focused GI care, including biologic infusion therapy, capsule endoscopy, and breath testing. You will educate patients, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with providers to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualified candidates have active RN license, BLS, EMR experience, and strong assessment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with EMR.
• Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor biologic infusion therapies per provider orders.
• Perform pre-treatment assessments reviewing histories and labs.
• Educate patients on therapies, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and infusion emergencies.
• Coordinate insurance authorization with billing teams.
• Coordinate capsule endoscopy procedures and patient education.
• Perform breath testing procedures (SIBO, lactose, fructose).
• Provide education on GI diseases, meds, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education.
