Job summary

South County Outpatient Endoscopy Services (SCOPES) is seeking a Part Time GI Scope Tech to join our Outpatient GI Center. You will render professional care to patients undergoing GI procedures and work closely with physicians to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.

Ideal candidates have GI Lab experience, current BLS, strong customer service, and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Join a supportive team with competitive wages and benefits at USPI facilities in the St. Louis area.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One to three years previous experience in GI Lab or Pain Management (preferred).
• Current BLS required.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI.
• Strong Customer Service Skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy GI lab environment.
• Must be able to function as a team player.
• Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Rendering professional care to patients undergoing procedures within the GI center.
• Cooperating with physicians and staff as a team.
• Prepares equipment and anticipates physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Assists physician on all GI procedures.
• Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area.
• Cleans and maintains equipment per center policy.
