Job summary

South County Outpatient Endoscopy Services (SCOPES) is seeking a Part Time GI Scope Tech to join our outpatient GI center. You will work closely with physicians, assist during GI procedures, and help prepare equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

We value teamwork, reliability, and the ability to manage a busy GI lab environment. The ideal candidate has GI lab experience, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years GI Lab or Pain Management experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy GI lab environment.
• Must be able to function as a team player.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Must communicate in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Render professional care to patients undergoing GI procedures.
• Cooperate with physicians and staff, demonstrating teamwork.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Maintain the general area and equipment in good condition.
• Assist physicians on all GI procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies in the GI area.
• Clean and maintain equipment per center policy.
