Surgicare Miramar Center is hiring a GI/OR Technician, Full Time, to support GI procedures and a variety of surgical cases in Orthopedics, Urology, General and Gynecology. The role works with the RN to prepare patients and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.

Competenze

• High school graduate required, some college preferred.
• Experience or interest in healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of GI/OR procedures.

Mansioni

• Assists the Registered Nurse in preparing the patient for surgery and assists with post-op care.
• Checks pre/post op area for cleanliness and orderliness.
• Brings the patient to pre-op area and assists with changing if needed.
• Takes vital signs.
• Ensures pre-op testing, H&P, and necessary paperwork are on chart prior to surgical procedures.
• Transports patients to and from procedure rooms.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Restocks carts.
• Directs family members.
• Includes family/patient in post-op instructions.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, dependable and team-oriented GI/OR Surgical Technician to join our fast paced Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting GI procedures as well as surgical cases in Orthopedics, Urology, General and Gynecology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the Registered Nurse in preparing the patient for surgery and assists with post-op care.
• Checks pre/ post op area for cleanliness and orderliness.
