Job summary

Tyvan LLC is seeking a GI Technician (PRN) to support physicians and nursing staff during endoscopies and colonoscopies. The role ensures equipment is prepared, maintained, and sterilized while assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities include intraprocedural support, specimen handling, room setup, high-level disinfection, equipment maintenance, documentation, and basic clerical duties. Candidates need a high school diploma, BLS certification, and knowledge of infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• SGNA Certification as a GI Technician or relevant healthcare experience preferred and/or required within 6 months.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities and intraprocedural support under supervision.
• Assists physicians with endoscopic procedures, including specimen handling and transport to lab.
• Supports safety initiatives and equipment traceability during procedures.
• Prepares procedure rooms and equipment per physician specifications.
• Performs high‑level disinfection and reprocessing of equipment.
• Cleans, calibrates, operates, and maintains equipment per guidelines.
• Documents procedures, images, videos, and charges in EMR.
• Maintains unit inventory and performs basic clerical duties.
