Job summary

GI North in Georgia is seeking a Board Certified Physician Assistant to join our established GI practice about 25 miles north of Atlanta. The role is primarily clinic based with some hospital duties, and prior GI experience is preferred but not required.

We are a growing practice with a three-physician team, one NP, and four PAs, located in a new facility near an endoscopy center. Weekend call coverage is currently 1:5.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA) with license in good standing.
• GI experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication with healthcare team via phone, email or in person.
• Ability to document delivery of care in the patient’s medical record.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and document in the medical record within required time frames.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic imaging; prescribe medications appropriately.
• Educate patients and family about procedures and disease processes.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, medical staff and administrators in a courteous, respectful manner.
