Job summary

Surgicare Miramar Center, part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), is seeking a GI/OR Surgical Technician to join our ambulatory surgery team. The role supports GI procedures and other surgical cases in orthopedics, urology, general and gynecology.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, healthcare interest, and knowledge of GI/OR procedures. We offer competitive wages and a benefits package, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college courses preferred.
• Experience or interest in healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of GI/OR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in preparing the patient for surgery and assist with post-op care.
• Check pre/post op area for cleanliness and orderliness.
• Transports patients to and from procedure rooms.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Directs family members and includes them in post-op instructions.
• Participates in QAPI, Infection Control and Safety Program.
