United Surgical Partners International (USPI) seeks a GI/OR Technician to join Surgicare Miramar Center in a full-time role. The incumbent will assist with GI/OR procedures, patient preparation, and post-op care within a fast-paced ambulatory surgery setting.

Ideal candidates have healthcare interest, knowledge of GI/OR procedures, and a high school diploma (some college preferred). Beneficial experience includes teamwork and safe patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN in preparing patient for surgery and post-op care.

• Takes vital signs and ensures pre-op testing and paperwork are complete.
• Performs other duties and participates in safety/infection control programs.

GI / OR Technican

Surgicare Miramar Center is hiring a GI /OR Technician, Full Time.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, dependable and team-oriented GI/OR Surgical Technician to join our fast paced Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting GI procedures as well as surgical cases in Orthopedics, Urology, General and Gynecology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the Registered Nurse in preparing the patient for surgery and assists with post-op care.
• Checks pre/ post op area for cleanliness and orderliness.
• Brings the patient to pre-op area and assists with changing if needed.
• Takes vital signs.
• Makes sure all pre-op testing, H&P, and necessary paperwork are on chart prior to surgical procedure.
• Transports patients to and from procedure rooms.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Restocks carts.
• Directs family members.
• Includes family / patient in post-op instructions.
• Coordinates patient transportation.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
• Participates in QAPI, Infection Control and Safety Program.

About the Candidate

• High school graduate required, some college preferred.
