Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking an experienced GI/OR Surgical Technician for our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role supports GI procedures and broader surgical cases in orthopedics, urology, general, and gynecology.

The successful candidate will assist in patient prep, post-op care, and maintain sterile fields, with a focus on patient safety and efficiency. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required; some college preferred.
• Experience or interest in healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of GI/OR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Registered Nurse in preparing the patient for surgery and assists with post-op care.
• Checks pre/post op area for cleanliness and orderliness.
• Brings the patient to pre-op area and assists with changing if needed.
• Takes vital signs.
• Ensures pre-op testing, H&P, and necessary paperwork are on chart prior to procedure.
• Transports patients to and from procedure rooms.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Restocks carts.
• Directs family members.
• Includes family/patient in post-op instructions.
• Coordinates patient transportation.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
• Participates in QAPI, Infection Control and Safety Program.
