Job summary

Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant in our Gastroenterology Oncology outpatient department in Chicago, IL. The APP will work with patients undergoing cancer treatment or surveillance, collaborating with multiple specialties across NM.

Schedule: M-F, 4x10s (day off tbd). No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call required. Benefits include tuition reimbursement and loan forgiveness as part of NM's comprehensive offerings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or accredited PA program.
• Current Illinois RN license and APRN license or PA license in Illinois.
• BLS certification and minimum 2 years APP oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to patients in GI oncology.
• Prescribe or order medications, therapies, and interpret tests as permitted.
• Document all care and education in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals.
• Participate in education and quality improvement initiatives.
