Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Medical Oncology team. The APP will manage 8–16 patients per day in the outpatient setting, focusing on follow-up visits for chemotherapy and toxicity assessments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Illinois RN license and APRN license, or PA license in Illinois with appropriate credentials.
• Privileged and credentialed through Northwestern Medicine MSO.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive health assessments using histories and exams.
• Provides direct clinical care and follows up on oncology patients.
• Prescribes or orders medications, tests, and therapies per privileges.
• Mentors students and participates in quality improvement or research.
