Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking PhD and PharmD students for a 12-week internship at our Gaithersburg, MD site from May 24, 2027 to August 13, 2027. The role involves analyzing medical insights to inform strategy and developing external-facing materials for medical education within the USMA-Oncology GI team.

Onsite work is required three days per week. US work authorization is required; OPT support is not available. Compensation is $48/hour for the duration of the internship.

Qualifications

• PhD and PharmD students studying life sciences and/or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong scientific background is required.
• Analytical and presentation skills are preferred.
• Prior oncology research experience is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
• Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2027.
• US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
• This role will not be granting OPT support.
• Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD site 3 days per week.
• Compensation range: $48 per hour.
