Job summary

UC San Diego Health in San Diego, CA is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Gastroenterology team to lead clinical care and administrative operations.

You will supervise RNs and Endoscopy Technicians, mentor staff, and drive process improvements in a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing required.
• RN license issued by the state of California.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including GI procedure experience in an acute care hospital.
• Charge Nurse or other leadership experience.
• Experience with staff allocation and scheduling.
• Strong communication skills for information exchange with management and staff.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of RNs and Endoscopy Technicians ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Provide administrative leadership and influence daily operations and staffing.
• Mentor staff and drive process improvements to support department excellence.
