Florida Digestive Health Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a gastroenterology office in the Tampa area. The role provides clinical and administrative assistance to physicians, clinicians, and patients, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate electronic record keeping.

The position involves scheduling, calling patients, triage, obtaining prior authorizations, preparing charts, and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule new and follow-up appointments and confirm schedules.
• Handle incoming calls, messages, and refills; triage as needed.
• Obtain prior authorizations for visits, procedures, imaging, or labs.
• Scan and upload documents into the chart; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain charts in the EMR and track no-shows, cancellations, and delays.
• Support providers and clinical staff with administrative tasks.
