Job summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Academic Gastrointestinal/Liver Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Preference will be given to candidates with GI/Liver fellowship training and those who can provide additional coverage in other surgical pathology areas.

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or MD-equivalent degree and board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Eligible to obtain a North Carolina medical license.
  • GI/Liver fellowship training or sign-out experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach clinical residents and fellows and participate in teaching activities across the School of Medicine and Graduate School.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with a statewide clinical care team.
  • Contribute to diverse surgical pathology subspecialties and support GI/Liver pathology services.
