Job summary

Tucson Medical Center, part of TMC HealthCare, is seeking a part-time GI Lab Technician for Wyatt GI Center. The role supports physicians and nurses, prepares and sterilizes scopes, and coordinates with the GI team to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of patient care experience (GI Lab preferred), and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months patient care experience preferred; GI Lab experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
• Prepare and sterilize GI scopes and related equipment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to staff.
• Enter patient information and charges into the system.
• Discharge patients safely and provide patient education.
• Respond to chemical spills and maintain GI Lab safety.
• Adhere to confidentiality, safety, and department policies.
